Personal Outcomes
The Council on Quality and Leadership
originally developed the Personal Outcomes Measures in 1993. As a tool for evaluating personal quality of
life and organizational supports, the personal outcomes promote opportunities
and community inclusion for all people.
Personal Outcome Measures emphasize what’s most important to
people. The agency works to identify the
organizational and individualized supports that will enable the person to
achieve outcomes. Through the outcomes
interviewing process the organization is able to respond to the needs of the
person with appropriate supports.
The Personal Outcome Measures, and Organizational Assurances
and Principals are used by the agency as a tool for continuous quality
improvement. By working with SCOPES (The
South Carolina Organizational Performance and Enhancement System) the Board has
made a commitment to the outcomes philosophy and raising the bar on quality
services.
