 Direct Support Professional Position Description:

Duties:

Under the general supervision of the Direct Support Supervisor or Residential Director, supports people to achieve their highest level of independence.

  

Essential Functions

 

  1. Supports people based on information gained through conversations with the person and their plan of support. Develops a working relationship with people that provides individualized training in all skills based on the individual’s personal goals.

 

  1. Communicates effectively with other departments to ensure appropriate supports are addressed.

 

  1. Supports people to experience a variety of community options and settings.

 

  1. In coordination with the person and the plan manager, helps to develop goals and objectives based on the individual’s choice and assessments.

 

  1. Provides supports to people in the area of personal care and daily living skills.

 

  1. Assists persons being supported in learning appropriate behaviors through positive behavior support.

 

  1. Performs and supports people in the preparation of meals through individual choice and/or as outlined by agency or state regulations.

 

  1. Ensures the health safety, and accountability of people being served as indicated in agency policies. Conducts safety drills and inspections as required. Regularly discusses safety issues with people.  Ensures that people have the best possible health.

 

  1. Supports people by attending life plan meetings when invited.

 

  1. Maintains transit safety through completion of transportation logs, daily vehicle checks, and adherence to agency safety policies.

 

  1. Maintains appropriate documentation as required.

 

  1. Provides a clean, safe, and respectful environment for people though support and training.

 

  1. Performs other related duties as required.

COMMUNITY TRAINING HOME COORDINATOR

FULL TIME | MONDAY – FRIDAY | 8AM – 4:30PM

Must Be Available for Emergency Coverage 24/7

 

 

Function:                           

 

Under limited supervision of the Residential Director, assures that the programs operate according to DDSN Standards, DHEC and other regulatory agencies. Supports people to achieve their highest level of independence and is responsible for supervising Direct Support Supervisors.

 

Requirements:

 

Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and two years’ experience in the field of Developmental Disabilities and Special Needs, or any combination of education and experience. At least one year of supervisory experience is preferred.

Must possess a SC driver’s license with a good driving record.

Executive Assistant

FULL TIME | MONDAY – FRIDAY | 8AM – 4:30PM

 

DUTIES:   Under the supervision of the Executive Director, performs administrative duties, supports, and coordinates for the operation of all Board programs; Oversees Accounts Receivable; Serves on the Management Team; Bank Reconciliations; Serves as designee for the Ruth S. Pugh Foundation and coordinates meetings; Applies for SCDOT 5310 grants and assures compliance with governmental reporting requirements.  

 

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  Office Management and Supervisory skills. Great oral and written communication.  Must be organized and have exceptional time management and strategic planning. Computer proficient with use of MS Office programs and QuickBooks.  Must have valid SC driver’s license with a good driving record. Professional discretion.

 

Minimal Requirements

Associate degree in business science or related field and two years’ (five preferred) experience as an administrative assistant or a high school diploma and three years’ (six preferred) experience as an administrative assistant.
