Direct Support Professional Position Description:
Duties:
Under the general supervision of the Direct Support Supervisor or Residential Manager, supports people to achieve their highest level of independence.
Essential Functions
- Supports people based on information gained through conversations with the person and their plan of support. Develops a working relationship with people that provides individualized training in all skills based on the individual’s personal goals.
- Communicates effectively with other departments to ensure appropriate supports are addressed.
- Supports people to experience a variety of community options and settings.
- In coordination with the person and the plan manager, helps to develop goals and objectives based on the individual’s choice and assessments.
- Provides supports to people in the area of personal care and daily living skills.
- Assists persons being supported in learning appropriate behaviors through positive behavior support.
- Performs and supports people in the preparation of meals through individual choice and/or as outlined by agency or state regulations.
- Ensures the health safety, and accountability of people being served as indicated in agency policies. Conducts safety drills and inspections as required. Regularly discusses safety issues with people. Ensures that people have the best possible health.
- Supports people by attending life plan meetings when invited.
- Maintains transit safety through completion of transportation logs, daily vehicle checks, and adherence to agency safety policies.
- Maintains appropriate documentation as required.
- Provides a clean, safe, and respectful environment for people though support and training.
- Performs other related duties as required.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER
FULL TIME / MONDAY - FRIDAY
DUTIES:
- Under limited supervision of the Executive Director, the Accounts Payable Manager will maintain the agency’s general ledger and oversee the operations of accounts payable.
- Processes the agency’s accounts payable to include obtaining proper approval signatures, coding invoices, preparing checks, and maintaining A/P files.
- Processes annual “1099” forms.
- Reconciles monthly bank statements for payroll.
- Maintains and monitors all purchase orders. Annually prepares the open purchase orders for the year.
- Reviews agency expenditures to ensure that they are reasonable, prudent, allowable, and proper.
- Reviews and maintains the general ledger.
- Prepares and inputs monthly journal entries to properly allocate overhead costs, to account for expenditures drafted from the bank, and routine adjusting entries.
- Maintains petty cash for the agency and other entities accordingly which is maintained using the imprest style of accounting.
- Maintains and monitors the agency’s charge lists, credit cards and cellular phones; Purchase and distributes supplies for the agency obtained from various vendors.
MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and five years’ experience in Finance or Office Management or an Associate Degree with 2 years’ experience in Finance.

Direct Support Professional/Skills Coach
FULL TIME / MONDAY - FRIDAY
Under the general supervision of the Business Development Coordinator, supports people to achieve their highest level of independence. Completes the assessing and planning process to determine appropriate goals to assist individuals of meeting goals and becoming as independent as possible.
DUTIES:
- Ensures all needed documentation is obtained for in-take to the program as well as on an annual basis to support DDSN standards, DHEC and DOL requirements.
- Communicates effectively with other departments to ensure appropriate supports are addressed.
- Responsible for ensuring services are authorized in the outlined plan of service for the individual as well as kept current and maintain for billing needs.
- Completes assessments annually which will include interviewing the persons served, families and others who know the person well, reviewing records, observing in various settings, and completing assessment tools.
- Develops a plan for individuals with set objectives to meet requested needs.
- Supports people by attending plan meetings as invited.
- Locates resources in the community to meet the training goals and objectives.
- Maintains appropriate documentation as required.
- Provides a clean, safe, and respectful environment for people through support and training.
- Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMAL REQUIREMENTS
A High School Diploma is required. 2-year degree preferred with 2 years’ experience in the field of disabilities and special needs, however, will consider a combination of experience and education.
